Emily Ann: sunday

sunday is my most favorite day of the week, hands down. well, it's tied with temple thursday.

this sunday was the first sunday with my new ward, i absolutely can't wait for this year to begin with these lovely people. i can already tell it is going to be a great year. during relief society we bore our testimonies. this sunday was the first sunday i've ever bore my testimony. it was the greatest feeling ever. i was nervous then i looked upon all my wonderful sisters whom i love oh so much already and i don't even know them yet. i have this uncontrollable strong love for these sisters. oh goodness, they are such beautiful daughters of our Heavenly Father. i can't wait to get to know them and serve them. i could keep going on... but then i won't get to finish telling you the rest of my wonderful Sabbath day. after church, we came home, all my roommates left to go home expect my love Julia (my room roommate). i surprised her and made her dinner. we sat in the living room together, made funny stories, talked about the guys across the way from us (a whole different story). but the greatest part of being with my love was the activities we did together. we listened to hymns and gospel music, made friendship bracelets, danced in the rain, giggled, watched kid histories and made delicious kool-aid. did i also mention we went on a bicycle ride together. we tried to make it to the temple, i failed. i also got my dress stuck in my bicycle two or maybe three times. (note to self: don't wear a dress). afterwards we went to ward prayer, there are so many people in our ward. have i told you how excited i am for this ward? i'm super excited! when i walked in, i was greeted by a friendly face and she told me she loved my testimony, i got all embarrassed and tried to hide behind julia. i had to leave ward prayer early for a great cause.

d&c 98:11-13

"and i give unto you a commandment, that ye shall forsake all evil and cleave unto all good, that ye shall live by every word which proceedeth forth out of the mouth of God. For he will give unto the faithful line upon line, precept upon precept; and I will try you and prove you herewith. And whoso, layeth down his life in my cause, for my name's sake, shall find it again, even life eternal"
