Smoothie Mishap

My roommate is so wonderful and kind, she attempted to make us smoothies.

Right when who started to pour the smoothies into our cups, she stops and apologizes. She just kept saying she was sorry and starting laughing.

We were all curious and kept asking why she was sorry.

She finally confessed that the blender she used here is different than the one from her home and she broke the wooden spatula. There were now there were wooden splinters in our smoothie.

I seriously can't stop giggling, she is so silly.

Heavenly Father Loves Me

Oh, yes he does! He loves me oh so much. Much more than I probably deserve.
So lately I have been stressed about juggling two jobs and going to school at the same time.
Just yesterday I told my roommate that I want to become a bank teller.

Why?
1. to gain insight in the banking world
2. set schedule
3. holidays off

Today, I received at phone call from Chase Bank saying they want an interview with me this week.

Blessed?
I say yes!

First Day of School

Today is the first day of school for BBCC. Which means my online classes started today. I'm a little overwhelmed with my schedule, not so much the classes.

But the fact I'm taking 18 credits working full-time between my two jobs and trying to do well so I can get into BYU.

My biggest concern is that I am going to be working too much that I would be able to have time for my classes.

Saturday afternoon I might have had my first good cry since I've moved down here to Utah. It was much needed and I'm so lucky I have a best friend who dropped everything came straight over here and comforted me.

I'm eternally grateful for him.

I know I can do this and I will be overly ecstatic when I receive my degree in December.

Please time go fast.

It doesn't feel like school, possibly because I'm taking online classes and not sitting in a classroom. But this is how my day should go:

Wake up and go to classes
Come home, eat lunch and wait for best friend.
Best friend arrives, we head and get peppermint hot chocolate, sit outside and enjoy the crisp fall air
We would go school supply shopping, talk about our classes, make silly jokes, come home and eat dinner.
Dinner and watch re-runs of Gossip Girl
Do homework and laugh all night
Sleep and Repeat.
I miss her, I miss a real fall.

My best friend and I, Fall 2011.

Brigham City Temple

Have I ever mentioned that I have the greatest best friend in the world? He is the most amazing person I have ever met and last friday we headed up to Brigham City for the Temple Open House.

He picked me up from work then we went straight there. He is the best road trip buddy, he makes any car ride feel like it's ten minutes long.

We got there a half hour early, something that is a miracle if you know Joe. Early isn't something that Joe does.

We started out with the video presentation then through the temple we went. I don't want to say much about it because I want you to experience it yourself. Which by the way there is one next month in Boise, Idaho. About 6 hours away from my hometown and my new home.

The temple is gorgeous and I love the fact because of the temple families can be forever.

One day... hopefully, I will be sealed to my future husband and we will start a family that will be together forever.

The only horrible part of this trip is that my camera died before we even had the chance to take a photo of us.

busy sunday

Here is the low down on my past sunday:

       6:30 - woke up
7:00 - 9:00 - Relief Society training
9:45 - 2:30 - Layton for church
2:30 - 4:30 - Relief Society meeting
4:30 - 6:00 - Dinner at the Shumways
6:00 - 8:30 - Regional Conference YSA session
9:00 - 9:45 - Ward Prayer

It was a very busy and rewarding Sunday. It is my most favorite day of the week, even if I have to wake up at six thirty. I did it with pure enjoyment and content. I headed off to my training for my new calling, which I am super excited about. I've been called to serve as the 2nd Counselor on the Relief Society presidency. Did I also mention it is my first ever calling?! The training was wonderful and I can not wait to get to know my fellow sisters.

*Be like Daisies : the friendliest flowers. (from 'You Got Mail')

Afterwards I headed off to Layton with Joe to go to a homecoming from one of his mission companions.

I came back and went straight to a Relief Society meeting to plan out Visiting Teachers assignments.

Right after that my apartment and a boys apartment were invited to one of the bishoprics home. So my roommates and I headed to that. It was such a wonderful time. We had spaghetti and popsicles! mmm, delicious. We played an intense game of around the world on the ping pong table. Apparently I'm too aggressive, I will work on that. We jumped on the trampoline, played with their pet chickens... HOW COOL IS THAT!

Then we headed to our Regional Conference YSA Session, it was so comforting and had nothing to do with relationships, which I loved! It talked more importantly on education and service.
We had watermelon and mingled with people from our ward.

Then it was back to our apartment and we were picked to introduce ourselves at Ward Prayer. We each introduced each other and made up a story about each one of us. Expect mine was true... Found out I'm "Wife Material"... made everyone laugh and people even asked me afterwards to be their 'Jacket' (from Elder Oaks talk). I introduced Dani, when I got to the part about her "sixth toe" I had an unstoppable coughing attack.

friday night

my roommate julia and i had a mission to accomplish by 8 pm.  we didn't finished it.
instead we made cake in a mug and kool-aid. (photo 1)
our mission was to make some photos for joe's apartment because it's "blah"
(i haven't seen it, so i'm unsure at this moment)
but instead I invited joe over and we accomplished it together
we went to target, that horrible dreadful place that broke my iPhone.
while we were there we danced, planked, played games, and played on that cool ball.
also i failed at being secretive
on our way back we took the scenic route and danced
made some friends on the way back who enjoyed our moves (i think)
we then played some Nintendo 64
also had a dance party, consisted of one person, me
but it was fantastic
did i also mention, we bought a magnificent lantern for our room?
yup, it's great.
cake in a mug
red drank
"sweet beats"... "lets dance"

always camera ready
