meg, joe and i headed up to SLC to the Twilight Convert series. we were in SLC when i realized i left my cash at home and only had my debit card. thankfully i had to joe with me.... i ALWAYS have cash so i felt extremely bad and sad i left it at home. we got there at 6 thinking it started at 5, but it really started at 8, haha whoops. but the night was good, even though they didn't play my favorite song.

then we went to vegas
i'm pretty sure i am going to have two Soderbergs who are not going to be happy with this post, you know who you are, you know (movie quote). one extended weekend we made the trip to Joes home down in Las Vegas. which is about a 6 hour drive, unless you drive the speed limit which is 80 mph here in the promise land. Washington should get with the program and have fast speed limits, just saying.
during our weekend we went on a hike/climb in the Red Rocks (absolutely beautiful) i can spend all day everyday in there, only if i had a bunch of water. i am a big baby when it comes to heat. afterwards we headed to matts. we watched an episode of 'the walking dead', if you haven't seen it you need to start with season 1, after you watch the first episode you will be addicted, i promise. then kayla came over and we played dibble (will explain later). you see that cute dog named Lucy, thats Matts dog, which will soon be mine once I steal her, sooooo adorable. then later that evening Joe and I went to dinner with his parents then headed to the Smith Center to watch a Musical, it was super fun. we even made a new friend, you will see him later in the photos underneath the Smith Center. the smith center has a crazy cool ceiling, it was mesmerizing.
saturday night we headed down to the strip and went to the Bellagio. afterwards Joe and I had a double date with Matt and Clair, we made shish kabobs and went to the Dark Knight. best movie ever. Vegas isn't like Moses Lake and they have movies that start after 9:30, weird, i know.
sunday is so delightful. i drove to church with Kellie, she is an excellent parker, i wish i had picture proof. AND we were on time. i didn't know that was possible, but it is. i dig it. we went on a bike ride and went to the park. i pushed joe on the swing and i got sick just pushing him. then i rode on the swing and got even more sick, i'm staying from swings forever. other than that I don't really remember what happened.
monday, was sunshine day. where i got super sunny. i tried and successfully failed at a front flip. those Soderbergs are crazy talented and pretty much good at anything. if you ever want to compete with someone and want to lose, they are your competition. if you want to win, compete with me. we went to the park and i watched them play something with a football. joe got it stuck on a roof, he then had to climb a tree to save it. joe unsuccessfully spotted me at my backhandspring and i fell on my face. one day i will be able to do it again. i am now putting it on my bucket list. THEN that night we went down to the strip because my BESTEST friend from Washington state was also in Las Vegas, the same time i was. She was staying at New York, New York, so we went there to meet her. Then we rode the roller coaster, not once but twice. silly Kayla and Matt pulled a slick move and stole our front seat, it was well played. then we walked the strip and i got to spend time with my best friend and her family. it was nice to see her even if it was for a short amount of time.
tueday was departure day. joe, sam and i dropped off the dogs at the vet. i love those puppies so much, they are adorable. then we went to in n out and then departed our ways.

ogden/logan weekend
during one of the first couple of weekends since i've lived in utah, Joe and I made a spontaneous trip up to Ogden, Utah to visit one of his old mission companions (who also taught me). during the weekend we went boating, went up to Logan, Utah to a car show and parade and watched fireworks. Utah has fireworks almost the entire month of July. for holidays such as Pioneer day (24th of july) and the Fourth of July.
i got up on my first try, no big deal.
a hamburger in-between two glazed doughnuts.
coolest soda machine i've ever seen, in logan, utah.

life advice
1. someone you admire
2. someone who makes you a better person
3. someone who treats their momma good
once you find a man who acquires these characteristics and you fall in love with him. let that young man know and let him fall in love with you.
-my bishop.
